Seamus Ryan Architects was established by Seamus Ryan after 12 years of experience working on high end homes with Andrew Boughton Architects.

Prior to settling in Perth (2009), Seamus worked in Sydney and Melbourne with leading firms HPA/Mirvac, Woodhead and Fender Katsalidis. Completing High Rise Multi-Residential, Commercial and Government Project.

Seamus is a believer in taking time to produce a quality design to ensure a good quality outcome.

Seamus qualified with BSc Architecture & BSc Architectural Technology and Sustainable Design, growing a passion for efficient aesthetically pleasing design: “Our passion is blending sustainable design with contemporary architecture“

Registered with the Architects Board of Western Australia (Division 1 Architect).

Delivered along with practical design advice in accordance with the project brief and budget. The interior design and colour pallet selection process was simple and professionally managed to ensure a quality product. Seamus provided support throughout council approval, including engagement with neighbours for an outcome that satisfied all parties.

Seamus ensured the extension was built to a very high energy efficient standard in which we achieved a 9.5 star rating. Our final design / tender package was very detailed with a great package sent to tender, and had very little change throughout construction.

Seamus ran the plans across Fremantle Council, and despite challenging building specifications, including height restrictions, overshadowing requirements, stormwater runoff restrictions, window privacy restrictions, as well as council and Western Power easement restrictions (we were required to have a 6 m setback on a block that was barely 18 m deep), had council approval about four months later.

Seamus worked on our large East Fremantle two-storey renovation was efficient and professional. His practical ideas allowed our house to transform into a well-functioning and comfortable family home. Having the paperwork trail and council plan application further taken care of was a weight off our shoulders.
